Up Country House
Additions & Alterations

This Up Country House occupies its site amongst majestic trees and mature gardens.  The project involved demolishing an earlier extension to the main “trunk” of the house, and then mating an existing gable wing to produce a “U-shaped” plan, with a large kitchen, family room and bedrooms incorporated into the new addition.  The new footprint of the building celebrates its formal entrance to the house, which is capped under a new portico.  Many elements of the existing house were carefully restored or replicated in the new addition.  The entire interior was renovated.
